Your creative
can become unstuck.
Embedded creative leadership for founders who know something's off, but don't have the permanent headcount to fix it.
Strategy on branding, copy, content, operations, and design. All of it, for a fraction of the cost.
Meet the Creative Strategist
I'm Kyler, founder of Knight Theory™ and your fractional creative strategist.
My path to this work wasn't linear — and that's exactly what makes it useful to you. I started as a freelance copywriter, moved into content marketing in tech, then UX copywriting, then web design. Along the way I worked inside AWS, Stripe, and Postscript, (not as an agency vendor looking in, but as someone embedded in the systems, the decisions, and the creative infrastructure that makes enterprise brands operate the way they do.)
What I learned there is hard to replicate. I saw how high-performing teams brief creative work. How they align brand, product, and marketing into a coherent voice. How they build systems that scale without falling apart. And I saw how much of that thinking simply isn't accessible to early-stage founders — not because it's secret, but because it's expensive to hire.
Knight Theory™ exists to close that gap. The Fractional Creative Strategy engagement is the most direct version of that mission: bringing the strategic firepower of an enterprise creative lead to founders who are building something worth believing in, without asking them to fund a full-time salary to get it.
I very intentionally work with a small number of clients at a time so it remains a true partnership.
Who this is for
Built for founders who are too close to their own brand.
You've got a product that works. Customers who believe in it. But your creative output doesn't match your ambition and you can't quite articulate why. That's the gap I close.
01
Early-stage startups that just raised
You have runway and need to move fast. Your brand, website, and messaging need to catch up to your traction.
02
Scaling founders wearing every hat
You're the de facto creative director, copywriter, and brand strategist. You need someone to take that off your plate intelligently and help you plan things out long-term.
03
Teams with creative chaos
Designers, writers, and vendors pulling in different directions. You need a framework that aligns everyone, (and someone to build it.)
04
Brands that feel off but can't explain why
Something isn't landing. You've iterated on your own, but you need an outside eye with real enterprise experience.
Three months.
Real momentum.
Each month builds on the last — from diagnosis to momentum to systems that stick.
MONTH 1
Discovery & Diagnosis
Before anything changes, I need to understand exactly where you are. Month 1 is a full immersion into your brand, your creative output, and the systems behind it — the goal is to surface what's working, what isn't, and where the biggest opportunities are hiding.
This isn't a surface-level review. I go into your actual materials, your workflows, and how your team operates creatively. By the end of the month, you'll have a clear, prioritized picture of what needs to change and in what order.
In this phase, I will:
Conduct a full creative audit: A comprehensive review of your existing brand, copy, design, and all outward-facing communications — website, pitch materials, social, email, product comms.
Complete a systems intake: I'll map how creative work currently moves through your business — your tools, workflows, handoffs, and where things consistently break down or stall.
Run a pain point mapping session (Call 1): Our first working session is dedicated to understanding your goals, your frustrations, and the creative problems that feel most urgent to you right now.
Deliver a priorities framework (Call 2): Based on the audit and our intake session, I'll deliver a clear framework outlining what to fix, in what order, and why — along with a roadmap for Months 2 and 3. This lives in your LaunchBay portal.
MONTH 2
Strategy & Momentum
Month 2 is where things start moving. With the diagnosis complete and priorities set, we shift from understanding the problem to solving it. This is the most active phase of the engagement — expect real decisions, real changes, and real creative momentum.
I'll be embedded in your work throughout this month, not just showing up for calls. The goal is to start building the habits, frameworks, and creative clarity that will outlast this engagement.
In this phase, I will:
Begin implementing the Month 1 framework: We'll start working through the priorities identified in your roadmap — addressing the highest-leverage creative problems first and moving with intention.
Run two focused working sessions: Each call is dedicated to a specific creative challenge — whether that's refining your messaging, overhauling a piece of content, aligning your design direction, or untangling a process that's been slowing you down.
Deliver session notes and action items after every call: No vague takeaways. After each session you'll receive a clear summary of what we covered, what was decided, and what happens next — delivered to your LaunchBay portal.
Provide ongoing async support: Between calls, your portal is open. Use it to share work in progress, ask questions, or flag something that needs a second set of eyes. I respond within 48 business hours.
MONTH 3
Systemization & Handoff
Month 3 is about making sure what we've built together doesn't fall apart when the engagement ends. The goal isn't to create dependency — it's to leave you with repeatable systems, a clear creative direction, and the confidence to maintain momentum on your own.
By the end of this month, your brand will feel more intentional, your creative decisions will be faster, and you'll have a documented foundation to build from.
In this phase, I will:
Consolidate wins into repeatable creative processes: Everything that's worked in Months 1 and 2 gets documented and systematized — so your team can execute consistently without needing to reinvent the wheel every time.
Deliver a final recommendations document: A clear-eyed summary of where your brand started, what changed, and what the smartest next moves are. This is yours to keep and reference long after the engagement closes.
Run two sustainability-focused working sessions: Our final calls are dedicated to the long game — how to maintain creative clarity, how to brief future vendors and hires, and how to keep the momentum going without me in the room.
Discuss renewal options (if applicable): If continuing the partnership makes sense, we'll talk through an ongoing reduced-cadence advisory engagement during this month — so there's no scramble at the end and no pressure to decide on the fly.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
FREQUENTLY ASKED
(QUESTIONS)
-
Neither, exactly. It's embedded creative leadership — I integrate into your business and help you solve real problems, not just hand you a framework and wish you luck. Think of it as having a senior creative director on call, without the full-time headcount cost.
-
Brand strategy, messaging, copy direction, design oversight, content frameworks, creative operations, vendor management, and the connective tissue between all of it. If it shapes how your brand shows up in the world — that's in scope.
-
Real change doesn't happen in a single session. Month 1 is diagnosis. Month 2 is momentum. Month 3 is where things stick. The three-month structure is designed to actually move the needle — not just produce a pretty deck you'll file away.
-
Very. I take on a small number of fractional clients at a time to protect the quality of every engagement. Not every founder is the right fit — I'm looking for businesses that are ready to act on strategic input, not just hear it!
